11th March 2011 (4th day of the trip)

Today, we learned about Chinese Cultural Arts like Paper cutting and Painting. Also, we sat in for a Mandrin lesson. Firstly, let me talk more about the Mandrin lesson. The overall experience of the lesson was very iunique! It is the first time I enjoyed so much in mandarin class. We were shown a movie clip and there were questions we had to discuss on.

This experience is quite unique as back in Singapore, there wasn't such a method I've experienced. Secondly, another new experience is the Paper Cutting. The paper cutting session was really awesome as no matter how you cut the patterns, the unfolded result would turn out really nice! The best part of it all is that the person teaching us paper cutting is considered a National Treasure! All of us were shocked to know that he is so famous but would come all the way to the university just to teach us is amazing.

Overall, time spent in TianJin is fruitful as I'm learning new things everyday. Not only we get to learn new things, we also have our fair share of fun like discovering a new western cafe at the basement of the hotel where they sell real good food. Delicious!
